Manhattan Youth Ballet's "The Knickerbocker Suite"

Tis the season to be jolly, ...and to attend a Nutcracker.

Having danced in two myself this year (and I'm still not technically "still dancing") I'll do anything to avoid going to a Nutcracker. Luckily for us city people, there is an alternative option!! Manhattan Youth Ballet's "The Knickerbocker Suite" offers an original New York City take on the old classic, keeping the magical travel-to-an-unknown-land theme, without the (seemingly) five-hour long party scene or the cheesy land of the sweets, instead, discovering the beautiful, exciting, and oh so today, New York City.

I recommend it to everyone who wants to get in the spirit of the holidays and see a fun show this weekend, if you can still find tickets that is, as the show was sold out all of last week.
