Daevid Mendivil trained in the the French curriculum in New York City at Studio Maestro under the direction and mentoring of Francois Perron. He continued to further develop as a dancer with the encouragement of Deborah Wingert, Marina Stavitskaya and others including Stephen Harding, from whom he studied Jazz in order to compliment and strengthen his ballet technique's style and attack. Daevid also trained as a full-scholarship merit student in summer programs with American Ballet Theater, Boston Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theater, and had the privilege to study directly under Valery Anisimov of The Bolshoi Academy, Gelsey Kirkland herself, and was the honored recipient to a scholarship for private studies with Maestro Hector Zaraspe. Daevid has had the privilege to work with professional companies such as Utah Regional Ballet (UT), Urban Ballet Theater (NY), Northstar Ballet (AK), The Eglevsky Ballet (LI), Winston-Salem Festival Ballet (NC), Les Ballets Grandiva (NYC), Greensboro Ballet (NC), Men-On-Pointe (NYC) and Ballets With a Twist (NYC) . Currently, Daevid is not performing, but passing on his knowledge and love for dance to young students across the United States. |
