Here are a few items you should expect to achieve before or during the design process:
1) Identify the goals for your project
-Do you just want to find one piece, change an entire room or area in your home, or simply update the style in a room you love?
2) Have a defined budget or budget range in mind in order to be able to make the best decisions for your project.
3) Have clarity about the delivery and lead times the world of design and fine furnishings is currently experiencing, as your choices may be dictated by wait times.
4) Identify your preferences in terms of style, look and feel as early in the process as possible.
5) Be prepared to have a conversation about your every day activity in the rooms being worked on:
-do you have pets or children, is it a heavy use area, do you entertain? etc.
6) Obtain floorplans and photos of the space in advance if possible, be prepared to share your address in case we are able to locate your floorplan online and also know it is a natural step to have a virtual or in home visit for your designer to be able to gather the mos comprehensive understanding of your space.
7) When making an appointment, be prepared to spend some time with your designer exploring the options and diving into the design process. Finding the perfect pieces takes time and we want to make sure to set the expectation properly.
8) Once all design decisions have been made, be prepared to make a move. Custom goods take a long time to be made and delivered, once all selections have been considered, you should be ready to take the plunge and get your items ordered :)
