If I'm not mistaken, most of us set goals specifically to either achieve something, complete something, or reach something. While any sort of goal setting is great (at least in my opinion), this year I am trying setting goals based on they way I'll feel rather than the particular action goal.
The feelings I'm aiming for are these ones: stability, tranquility, security, happiness, relaxing, feeling energized, inspired and invigorated. Starting from there, I can trace back the things that I can to to achieve those feelings, or what I can avoid that might make me feel the opposite. One thing I've been practicing is trying to tune my awareness of what makes me feel good and what doesn't. From the silliest most obvious things: like eating ice cream or working out, to the ones where I really have to dig deep in order to reach an answer (from myself), I write the feelings that certain things result in. fast food restaurants, subway, setting up for painting park, vlogging, painting, organizing, It sounds simple but it is quite the project. certain feelings affect so many things that i'm findign i have to completely change certain aspects of my life in order to either achieve one or get rid of another. what is best for me -and what do i really want (the tough question) Comments are closed.
